Add the following line to your prefs.ini file (located under \EVE\cache folder): advancedDevice=1 There you go. When you hit ESC there's more settings you can tweak.

6. Running 2 clients locking up the computer - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
You didn't mention your sound setup. You might want to turn off audio on both clients to see if it resolves the issue. Besides, you can check your memory with Memtest to see whether it has anything to do with CTD (are you using quality RAM?).

10. Performance on a macbook coreduo running bootcamp? - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Someone here in the forums already stated that his new iMac (Intel chip) plays EVE flawlessly. The GMA 950 graphics chip that resides on Macbooks is not the best by far but I guess you can at least play EVE without much problem.

I guess those XM2 memories are actually of Corsair brand, right? If that's the case then the possibility of you having faulty memory sticks is very unlikely since Corsair manufactures one of the best and most reliable memory modules on the market ...

I used to have the same hardware as the OP (Athlon64 3000+ with a NVIDIA 6600GT) and on Christmas day I got similar artefacting on my screen. Eventually I found out that possibly due to overclocking my GFX card became too hot over the years and ev...

14. Intel Core Duo 6600... - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
I've purchased a E6600 a week before and it works like a charm. Combined with a fairly cheap 7600GS I recorded 220 FPS while docked and depending on the situation while in action FPS is around 40-80. Core2 Duo is worth to invest in.

Thanks for the input m8 so I drop the 8800 line of NVIDIA. I myself also considered this a bit too powerful for EVE. Besides going for the dual core CPU setup will I have to play around with the "set-affinity-to-0" thing or is there a fix already...
